Diboll Family Education Center will Host Parent Summit

The Diboll Family Education Center will be hosting a Parent Summit on January 31, 2014. The theme of this event will be ‘Get Muddy with You Kids!’ We have Mr. Wayne Waddleton scheduled to open our summit doing a session titled “Getting Unplugged” or as he says “Oops did I do that?” Mr. Waddleton is an excellent speaker to all ages and he works as a Family Based Coordinator for DETCOG. Following Mr. Waddleton will be three rounds of 3 session options for participants to choose from including: child safety; stroke, heart, & vascular health; diabetes education; drug use with teens; bullying, burglary awareness, and ADHD. Gary Stallard, a local well know columnist and educator, will close the summit with a session along the lines of “I am Glad I let her get Muddy.” The Parent Summit is free to anyone in the area and lunch will be provided at no charge. It will be from 9:30AM until 2:30PM. There will be donuts and coffee/juice available from 8:30 – 9:30AM.

Any local churches, organizations, or businesses are invited to set up a table and share information with our parents.
