Diboll ISD is pleased to announce the appointment of Mrs. Olivia Fant as the new Director of Curriculum and Instruction for Math, Science and Textbooks. Mrs. Fant received her Bachelor’s Degree from the University of Texas in Tyler. She has 13 years of experience with 3 years in the Spring ISD and 10 years at Diboll High School. During her first year of teaching at Spring ISD she received the Teacher of the Year award. In 2010-2011 she received the Teacher of the Year at Diboll High School. In addition to being an outstanding math teacher, Mrs. Fant also sponsors the National Honor Society and the Model United Nations team. Superintendent Thomas stated that, “Mrs. Fant was selected from an outstanding pool of applicants both internally and externally. Her special gifts and talents will make her an exceptional asset as she serves and supports our teachers in the areas of secondary math and science. Her high expectations for students and her exceptional teaching abilities will benefit and advance the school District in academic achievement.”
