Why I Love DISD: By Mrs. Richard, High School CTE Teacher
When I think of what Diboll ISD means to me, I think of personal growth, building lives, and accomplishing milestones. I am a Diboll alumnus, class of '19. And a few short years later, I’m back as a high school teacher.
Diboll ISD holds many memories for me- sports, graduation, and now, teaching students! What I love about working where I graduated is that I’m able to connect with the students about what’s outside of the classroom. I'm not someone who just graduated and never came back; I graduated and came back to give back to my community, and to teach them much more than the curriculum. I educate them about life beyond the classroom, making connections along the way. I am proud to be a Lumberjack!
The people who have made my journey great are: Coach Stifle, my golf coach; Coach Richard, my husband and high school sweetheart; and Coach Morrison, my dad and mentor.
