New Director of Curriculum and Instruction for English Language Arts and Social Studies named at May Board of Trustee Meeting

     Diboll ISD welcomes Scott Tyler, as our new Director of Instruction for English Language Arts and Social Studies. Mr. Tyler received his Bachelor of Arts in Journalism from Arizona State University and his Masters Degree in Educational Leadership and Principal Certification from Stephen F. Austin State University in Nacogdoches, Texas. He worked eight years as a sports editor and has nine years of teaching experience, one at Elkhart where he taught high school history and eight at Palestine ISD. Mr. Tyler has taught all grade levels 7-12, served as the English Department Chairperson for Palestine High School and served as the Palestine High School Head Tennis Coach for five years where he coached 16 regional tournament qualifiers and two state tournament qualifiers.

     Mr. Tyler is married to Lauren Tyler a counselor at Central Heights High School. They have two children, ages 7 and 5.
