DHS Graduation Ceremony Guidelines

1. Each Graduate will receive 4 tickets which were randomly generated by the computer. Based on Social Distancing of a 6 ft. perimeter around each family, this is the maximum number we can give per student.
2. Families will receive parking passes. Please park in area closest to the gate that is listed on your ticket. For example if your ticket says your seating is in section A, you will park in the Gate A area. You will arrive through and depart from the same gate.
3. All 4 ticket holders per graduate need to enter the stadium through their designated gate at the same time, be screened and then go directly to their assigned seats and remain there through the entire ceremony.
4. You must present your ticket to the gate operator. If you do not have your ticket you will not be allowed in the stadium.
5. Upon arriving at your designated gate, you will be asked COVID-19 screening questions before being allowed into the stadium.
6. All attendees are to wear masks or cloth coverings over their nose and mouth. This is for the safety of all those attending. We will have attendees who have compromised immune systems, who are undergoing chemotherapy or have other health conditions. We want all to feel and be safe.
7. All graduating seniors will be provided a mask. They must be worn at all times with the exception of when the senior is accepting their diploma and having their graduation picture taken.
8. A professional photographer will be capturing the photos of the student. Each senior will receive a free 8x10 and 4 wallet photos along with the digital image release to print their own photos. A date and time for pickup will be announced at a later date after graduation.
9. We ask that you not bring any large signs or items that will block the view of other attendees. No air horns are permitted as the noise drowns out the names of the graduates.
10. No food or drinks will be allowed in the stadium.
11. The graduating class will recess out after the ceremony and should go directly to their vehicle. Attendees will be dismissed over the public address system by Mr. Clements. Dismissal will be done by sections to ensure social distancing of 6 feet. Once out of the stadium, guests should go directly to the car and depart. There cannot be any group gatherings under the social distancing rule.
12. The graduation ceremony is the only gathering we are allowed to have. As a result there will be no senior graduation practice. The high school has produced a practice video as well as a parent video that every senior and attendee need to watch. These are available on the high school website and Facebook pages.
13. The entire ceremony will be live streamed via Facebook starting at 8:00 p.m. on Friday, May 29, 2020.
14. We thank you in advance for your patience and understanding as we work to create a wonderful graduation experience for our exceptional senior class, while still adhering to CDC, Federal and State guidelines. We appreciate your flexibility and cooperation.
