Schools are the ideal setting for establishing life-long healthy eating habits!
My name is Kerri Sanford. I am the Child Nutrition Supervisor for Diboll ISD. I have worked in the district since 2009. I have three handsome boys (Jacob, Jaydon and Nathan) who attend Diboll schools. My husband also works for the district as the Transportation Supervisor. We love the opportunity to live and work in such a great city.
The Child Nutrition department consists of 3 office staff, 4 cafeteria managers and 24 food service workers. We serve over 2000 meals to students each day. Healthy breakfast and lunch options are available at each campus. Student taste tests are conducted periodically to ensure student opinions are considered for food and beverage choices.
We also provide meals to children 18 and younger during the summer through the Summer Food Service Program. This ensures that children continue to receive nutritious meals when school is not in session.
All staff attends at least 6 hours of training each year. This allows us to keep up to date on current federal, state and local regulations.
