Bully & Safety Reporting Procedures

Diboll ISD prohibits bullying on school property, at school-sponsored or school-related activities, or in any vehicle operated by Diboll ISD.  Bullying may include verbal or written expression, expression through electronic means, or physical conduct.  Any student or parent of a student who believes that the student or another student has experienced bullying or that a student has engaged in bullying is encouraged to immediately report the incident.  Retaliation against anyone involved in the reporting process is a violation of district policy and is prohibited.

If your child is being bullied or witnesses bullying at school the report should be made as soon as possible after the alleged act or knowledge of the alleged act.  The report can be made to a teacher, counselor, assistant principal, principal or other district employee.  Any district employee who suspects or receives notice that a student or group of students has or may have experienced bullying shall immediately notify the principal or designee.   A report can be made orally, in writing, or using the electronic Anonymous Alerts reporting system.

Each campus at Diboll ISD has a Bullying Curriculum.  If counseling resources are needed because your child is a bully, victim or witness, these services can be provided for six to eight weeks of bullying counseling for intervention.
